Group registration for performing ensembles
Step 1: Register your school or group
for your entire group, regardless of group size.
In-state schools
$212 per band, combo or choir
Out-of-state schools
$265 per band, combo or choir
Step 2: Purchase individual festival passes.
Secure your group's spot by purchasing individual festival passes for each participant before the deadline.
Last year, festival capacity was reached by February 20.
Deadline
Registrations are accepted until two weeks before the Festival or until capacity is reached.
Individual passes
Each participant must purchase a separate Festival Pass for daytime events.
Performance categories
Eligible students may participate in the following categories:
- Band: 10 or more performers
- Combo: 2 to 9 performers
- Choir: 10 or more performers
- Choirs are encouraged but not required to use student rhythm section players. You may also use professional musicians.
What to expect
Each registered group will receive:
- Performance review: A 55-minute session with accomplished artist educators, including a performance and immediate feedback. A recorded copy with expert comments is provided.
- Jam sessions: Participants can improvise with our talented house bands.
- Clinics and concerts: Expand your jazz knowledge through expert-led clinics and daytime concerts.
- Superstar concerts: Enjoy thrilling performances from world-renowned jazz artists.
Group registration refund policy
Now – Feb. 29: Full refund minus a $50 processing fee per group
March 1 – April 7: 50% cancellation fee per group
- Out-of-state: $132.50 cancellation fee
- In-state: $115 cancellation fee
- Title I: $100 cancellation fee
Starting April 8: No refunds for group registrations and passes.
