83rd Session of the Nevada State Legislature
February 3, 2025
Dear Wolf Pack Family,
Today, our state begins the 83rd session of the Nevada State Legislature in Carson City. Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo, the Nevada State Senate and Nevada State Assembly will convene over the next 120 days to make decisions that will affect our University now and well into the future. We look forward to working with Governor Lombardo and our legislative leaders during the upcoming session and wish to acknowledge the key roles they play in the legislative process.
The Office of Government and Community Engagement will champion the University’s legislative priorities, and will be engaging the campus community to help educate and advocate for the amazing work that our institution does every day. While there will be many opportunities for legislative engagement, we wanted to specifically highlight that the University of Nevada Day at the Legislature will be held on April 29 with details forthcoming. Information on other University school/college Days at the Legislature can be found on the Office of Government and Community Engagement web page.
To stay up to date on the University’s involvement during the 83rd session, please sign up for the Office of Government and Community Engagement , and attend our weekly Zoom updates during session every Friday from 2-3 p.m. The first Friday Zoom update will be on Friday, Feb. 7, and you can attend .
Go Pack!
Sincere regards,
Brian Sandoval
President
